The Chiropractic Adjustment + Massage Combo

Why you should have a massage and chiropractic adjustment on the same day?

Chiropractic treatment and massage have many of the same benefits. Patients and clients looking for longer lasting relief from their symptoms should consider having both therapies on the same day. Have you ever had a chiropractic appointment and felt like maybe the doctor did not get as many adjustments as you would like? Maybe your muscles were too tight, and you needed a little bit of help before you saw your doctor. A massage before or after a chiropractic treatment can help loosen or keep the muscles loose after a chiropractic adjustment. Bones are controlled by muscles and when they are in state of contraction it can easily pull the bones out of their proper positions. The benefits of massage and chiropractic care alone are great, but when they are combined the benefits can have twice as much effect as before.

Talk to your doctor or therapist to see when it’s best to receive your treatments.

Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic adjustments are known to increase joint mobility and help realign bones into their natural positions. This therapy is done by a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic who has in depth training and knowledge about the human body. When are adjustments needed? For example, when you might wake up with a “crick in your neck” this might be due to sleeping in bad position or using a pillow that is not suited for your neck. Your vertebrae might have been pushed out of their natural position and now it is hard for you to turn your neck the next day. An adjustment might be recommended to offer instant relief.

Benefits of Chiropractic Care: 1. Improves joint mobility, function and health. 2. Decreases degeneration of the joint and connective tissues. 3. Decreases the on-going inflammatory process associated with the subluxation. 4. Improves nerve system function and the individual nerve’s ability to carry nerve impulses more efficiently. 5. Reduction of Stress 6. Improves athletic performance. 7. Relieves Headaches

Massage Therapy

Massages are known for their relaxing qualities, but few people know them for their therapeutic value. A massage not only increases circulation throughout the body, but it also decreases tension within muscles and increases range of motion. This is achieved by performing different modalities of massage therapy tailored to each client. With most massages, long strokes at lighter or deeper pressures offers relief and with other a pinpoint acupressure technique is used to release a knot deep within the muscle tissue. These therapies are necessary to allow the body to heal and release the accumulated stress. These treatments in tandem with a chiropractic adjustment can help get rid of chronic pain.
